ATLANTA—InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened the 94-room Holiday Inn Express Cabo San Lucas, its second property in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
“Cabo San Lucas is one of Mexico’s premier travel destinations, especially for golf and fishing activities,” stated Gerardo Murray, VP, distribution and commercial marketing, Mexico, Latin America and Caribbean, IHG. “We are excited to grow the IHG brand here and now have over 120 IHG hotels in Mexico with more than 30 in the pipeline.”
Fornix, SA de CV owns and manages the property. The company has invested more than $6 million in the hotel, which is designed with the Holiday Inn brand’s $1-billon global brand re-launch. The hotel features a contemporary image with an emphasis on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort, and a redesigned logo and signage.
Amenities include a 24-hr. fitness center, complimentary high-speed Internet access and a business center. The complimentary Desayuno Express bar features a rotation of egg and meat selections, pastries, yogurt, fruit, juices, regional dishes and coffee.
Guestrooms offer a contemporary design, queen- or king-sized beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair and an in-room coffee machine with complimentary coffee. The SimplySmart shower incorporates a Stay Smart Kohler showerhead. The shower also features a signature shower curtain with curved rod. Additional bathroom amenities include 100-percent cotton terry towels and bath products. The SimplySmart bedding collection offers a decorative throw, medium-weight duvet blanket and soft, 200 thread-count sheets.
