MIAMI—IHG continues to increase the Holiday Inn brand’s footprint in Latin America with the signing of the new-build Holiday Inn Lima Airport hotel.
The $24-million hotel will be located adjacent to the city’s Jorge Chavez International Airport, and is being developed by the Pinasco family, who will also manage the hotel under the Operaciones Turisticas Peruanas S.A.C. entity. The organization has been working with IHG for many years and also owns and manages the Crowne Plaza Lima hotel.
“We see great potential for our brands in Peru,” stated Joel Eisemann, chief development officer, the Americas, IHG. “Lima is Peru’s economic center and the development of airport hotels is an extremely positive sign of economic well-being. There is great demand for this type of hotel and we look forward to helping meet the needs of Peru’s growing hospitality industry.”
The eight-story, 179-room hotel will be equipped with sound insulation, built to minimize airport noise. The hotel will also feature a restaurant including Room Service Right … On Time, available at all Holiday Inn hotels, a bar and indoor swimming pool.
The new hotel will be designed in line with the Holiday Inn Brand Family’s $1-billion global brand relaunch. The relaunch comprises emphasis on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort and a redesigned logo and signage.
