Hyatt Brand Expands With Overseas Projects

Turkey Sees First Unbound Collection by Hyatt Property

Nish Palas Istanbul opens as part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. The 45-room boutique hotel is located in Nişantaşı and marks the entry into Turkey for The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand.

The hotel will be an interpretation of a typical historical apartment, known as a “Palas.” The property has a rooftop bar overlooking the Bosphorus strait and a spa with Hammam and locally inspired healing treatments. For dining options, its restaurant and bar Glens, will serve Mediterranean cuisine.

Nish Palas Istanbul offers more than 750 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space for up to 60 guests with an additional private, pre-function space.

Hyatt Moves Into Greece’s Capital 

A Hyatt affiliate has entered into a franchise agreement with both Henderson Park and Hines for the first Grand Hyatt hotel in Greece, Grand Hyatt Athens. The opening is expected in Q3 2018. Kokari Limited will manage the hotel.

The 310-room property will be located on Syngrou Ave. in Athens’ Koukaki district, close to golf courses, restaurants and Filopappos Hill. The hotel has a rooftop bar and restaurant, an outdoor swimming pool and view of the Acropolis. Additional amenities will include food & beverage venues, more than 11,600 sq. ft. of meeting space, as well as a spa and fitness center.

The Greek capital has more than 4.5 million visitors a year. The hotel is currently undergoing a major renovation and will mark the second Hyatt hotel in Greece, joining its sister property Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki.

Cannes Hotel to Reopen

Hôtel Martinez, Cannes will reopen as part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, following renovations and redesign.

The 409-room hotel has Michelin-starred dining options as well as a bar, fitness center and spa. The hotel is the second property in France for The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, joining Hôtel du Louvre in Paris, which is currently closed for renovation.

Hôtel Martinez has 26,910 sq. ft. of meeting space and 15 flexible meeting rooms. Certified with the Green Globe Gold status, Hôtel Martinez was the first hotel member of Green Globe in the French Riviera that committed to protect the environment and use sustainable business practices throughout the entire event planning process.

The Hyatt Regency Opens With Access to Shenzhen Airport

Hyatt Regency Shenzhen Airport opens in southern China’s Guangdong province. This is the first Hyatt Regency hotel in Shenzhen. The hotel is located on the west side of the terminal hall at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, close to the arrival and departure hall via an indoor pathway.

The 335 guestrooms range from 431-2,640 sq. ft., all insulated to ensure a quiet space. For dining options, the hotel has four restaurants and bars. The hotel also has a 10,591 sq.-ft. ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, six multifunctional meeting rooms that can host between 15-200 guests and a 49,514 sq.-ft. outdoor garden.

First Hyatt Centric Comes to India

The Hyatt Bangalore MG Road rebrands to the Hyatt Centric brand, marking the brand’s first hotel in India and 23rd worldwide.

Designed by Studio HBA, the 143 guestrooms including four suites have terrace gardens overlooking the pool. Two distinct dining options are available for guests: The Corner and The Bengaluru Brasserie. While The Corner offers a social atmosphere for coffee and light fare, The Bengaluru Brasserie delivers modern global cuisine with a focus on health and well-being. The hotel also has a customizable special events space.
