HVMG and Essex have added new properties to their management portfolios.
HVMG adds two properties in Orlando
Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG), an Atlanta-based, private hotel management and investment company, has begun operating the 195-room Residence Inn Near Universal Orlando and the 160-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando International Drive/Convention Center.
The five-story Residence Inn Near Universal Orlando is proximate to other such family-friendly destinations as Walt Disney World Resorts and SeaWorld. As a Universal Partner Hotel, property guests may enjoy shuttle service to and from Universal Orlando, as well as discounted merchandise and F&B specials.
Hotel amenities include a daily, complimentary, continental breakfast, 548 sq. ft. of event space, full-service business center, 24/7 fitness center, putting green and outdoor pool. Large studio, one- and two-bedroom suites provide guests with expansive dining bars, full-kitchens, Smart TVs with streaming capabilities and separate lounge areas.
The five-story Fairfield Inn & Suites Orlando International Drive/Convention Center is a short distance from SeaWorld, Universal Orlando Resort, the Orlando Convention Center and Disney World Resort in the I-Drive area. Rooms come with a 37-in. flatscreen HDTVs, fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, microwave oven, stove, refrigerator and utensils, as well as an oversized work area with multiple outlets and two-line telephones with voicemail. Guests also receive a daily, complimentary breakfast.
Essex Hotel Management expands Hampton Inn & Suites Plattsburgh
Essex Hotel Management LLC has added the Hampton Inn & Suites Plattsburgh in Plattsburgh, NY, to its growing portfolio of branded properties on the East Coast, marking the hotel management company’s first property in the city and fourth signed management contract this year.
The 94-room property is located in New York’s Adirondack Coast region, which stretches across the western shores of Lake Champlain in the shadow of the Adirondack Mountains. Known for its four seasons, the region offers guests something to do throughout the year, whether it’s kayaking or fishing on Lake Champlain in the summer; apple picking in the fall at Chazy Orchards, the largest Macintosh apple orchard in the world; skiing on Whiteface Mountain in the winter; or hiking in the spring or any season in the Adirondack Park, which has more than 2,000 miles of hiking trails.
The property is close to numerous downtown restaurants, breweries, and wineries. Plattsburgh is home to the State University of New York Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh International Airport, the Plattsburgh Air Force Base Museum and Airborne Speedway, and is an hour from Montreal.
A refurbishment of the property’s guestrooms and public spaces is slated to begin in Q1 2022, which Essex will also oversee.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Plattsburgh is the fourth property to be added to Essex’s management portfolio this year. Other properties added this year include Fairfield Inn & Suites Stony Creek, Hampton Inn Orlando/Lake Buena Vista and Courtyard Rochester Downtown. The hotel management company’s hotel portfolio now stands at 13 properties.
