Hotels Open in the Heartland

NATIONAL REPORT—New properties have opened in America’s heartland, including two boutique brands in St. Louis. Here’s a look:

Hotel Indigo Opens in Downtown St. Louis

Chesapeake Hospitality revealed the opening of the newest property in its management portfolio, Hotel Indigo St. Louis – Downtown, a boutique hotel.

The property is a historic building transformed into the hotel and has 88 guestrooms, as well as public spaces, including a restaurant, a rooftop bar with views of the St. Louis skyline, and modern event spaces.

Each guestroom at the Hotel Indigo St. Louis – Downtown reflects the history of the building with a modern twist. Amenities include spa-inspired bathrooms, mini-fridges, complimentary wi-fi and USB charging ports. The hotel steps from famous St. Louis landmarks, from the Gateway Arch to Busch Stadium, home of the Cardinals, and the St. Louis Blues Museum.

Hotel RL Premieres in St. Louis

RLH Corporation has opened the new Hotel RL St. Louis.

The 107-room property is located near St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Among its features are barista-style coffee from Seattle roaster Victrola Coffee Roasters complimentary to Hello Rewards Members, same-day valet laundry service, mobile check-in and a fitness center.

The property’s open lobby has The Living Stage, which have feature local and traveling musicians, a variety of artists, passion projects shared by talented guests and locals, and unique conversation-sparking events. The onsite restaurant, Herb, serves handcrafted items in a modern atmosphere featuring an in-restaurant herb garden where chefs and guests alike can hand-select herbs.

Courtyard by Marriott Hotel Debuts in Mason, OH

Courtyard by Marriott Cincinnati Mason opened its doors in Mason, OH recently.

The 97-room hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Mason Hotel Associates, LLC and managed by American Hospitality Management of Cheboygan, MI. The property is close to Kings Island Amusement Park, Deerfield Towne Center, P&G Mason Business Center and Manor House Event Center.

The four-story hotel has floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, allowing for an abundance of natural light. Other amenities include a fitness center, an outdoor fire pit and guest laundry and 497 sq. ft. of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 32 people.
