Hotels Make Moves in Management

NATIONAL REPORT—PM Hotel Group, Hotel Equities, Paramount Hotel Group, Olympia Hotel Management and Crescent Hotels & Resorts are all heating up the world of management. Here’s the recent news from the groups on their new properties and partnerships:

PM Hotel Group Expands with the Addition of Hyatt Hotels Brand
PM Hotel Group has broadened its portfolio of managed brands to include Hyatt Hotels Corporation. PM Hotel Group has been named the management company for the Hyatt Place King of Prussia. This new contract marks the continued diversification of the PM footprint, which now includes 20 hotel brands, as well as a collection of independent and historic properties. Located in King of Prussia, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, the hotel is close to shopping, dining and local sports venues including Valley Forge National Historic Park, King of Prussia Mall, Longwood Gardens and Chaddsford Winery.

Hotel Equities to Manage Four Points by Sheraton Charlotte Lake Norman
Atlanta-based hotel owner, operator and developer Hotel Equities (HE) has been appointed as the third-party operator for the Four Points by Sheraton Charlotte Lake Norman in Huntersville, NC. The recently purchased 101-room hotel is owned by Lake Norman NIA LLC, a joint venture between Virginia-based TLT solutions and North Carolina-based Second Line Investments in association with The Calhoun Group Realty. The hotel offers more than 2,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space able to accommodate more than 100 guests, food and beverage options, a fitness center and pool.

Paramount Hotel Group to Manage Tru by Hilton Property
Paramount Hotel Group has opened the new Tru by Hilton in Middletown, NY. Dunning Hospitality owns the property. The 103-room hotel is the newest hotel in the Tru by Hilton portfolio and is close to shopping outlets, Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, Bethel Woods Center for the Performing Arts and Orange County Fairgrounds and Speedway.

Mountain Shore Properties Selects Olympia Hotel Management as Operating Partner
Olympia Hotel Management (OHM) has partnered with Mountain Shore Properties (MSP), a Charleston, SC-based developer. MSP has decided to focus exclusively on hotel development and has elected to partner with OHM, focused on distinctive select-service and boutique hotel management. As a first step, OHM recently assumed management of three MSP hotels: the Hyatt House Mount Pleasant-Midtown in South Carolina; the Residence Inn Charlottesville Downtown in Virginia; and Hampton Inn & Suites Tallahassee Capitol-University. The partners are currently evaluating projects with Hyatt, Marriott and Hilton.

Crescent Hotels & Resorts Adds DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston by the Galleria
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston by the Galleria is now being managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts. The 476-room, boutique-style hotel is located in uptown Houston at the Galleria Mall, close to downtown Houston, shopping and dining.
