Hotels debut across the U.S.

Recent openings in the U.S. include Hilton properties in New York, Maine and Alabama, as well as the first hotel from Indigo Road Hospitality Group, a resort in New Mexico and the first Budgetel Plus Inn & Suites.

Hampton Inn & Suites Olean
Hampton Inn & Suites Olean in New York, developed, owned and operated by Hart Hotels Inc. and The Krog Group, has opened. The project was made possible through a variety of development incentives through the New York Brownfield Cleanup Program, Cattaraugus County Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) and the New York State Office of Community Renewal.

This is the fourth hotel developed by the Krog/Hart partnership that previously developed and operates the Harbor Hotel Collection—three four-diamond accredited destination hotels located in New York State.

The Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is a four-story, 90-room hotel located two miles from Saint Bonaventure University, close to Rock City Park and Nine Mile Creek State Forest. Amenities include 1,200 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, a fitness center, an indoor pool and a complimentary breakfast bar.

Canopy by Hilton Portland Waterfront
Canopy by Hilton Portland Waterfront in Portland, ME, has made its debut as the brand’s first hotel to open in the New England region. Located in the Old Port neighborhood, the waterfront hotel is owned and managed by Fathom Companies.

The property offers 135 guestrooms; Luna, the first indoor/outdoor rooftop bar overlooking Casco Bay; and Salt Yard, a café and restaurant that pays homage to Portland’s pottery history and Old Port building icon, E. Swasey & Co.

The guestrooms were designed by Baskervill and HKS, while Portland-based Ealain Studios was also part of the project.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Daphne Spanish Fort
Owned by A&R Group and managed by A&R Hospitality Management, Home2 Suites by Hilton Daphne Spanish Fort in Daphne, AL, has opened. The hotel features 89 suites, Spin2 Cycle fitness/laundry facility, Home2 MKT and the Inspired Table complimentary breakfast. Other amenities include an outdoor saline pool and a fire pit and grill area.

The property is located across the street from Eastern Shore Centre. Nearby attractions include the USS Alabama, Mobile Carnival Museum and Mobile Museum of Art.

Skyline Lodge
Skyline Lodge, the newly renovated historic boutique property from Indigo Road Hospitality Group, has opened in the mountain town of Highlands, NC. Led by Steve Palmer, Indigo Road Hospitality Group founder and three-time James Beard Award nominee, and Larry Spelts, Indigo Road president of lodging & lifestyle adventures, the property marks the restaurant and hospitality group’s first venture into the hotel space.

Designed by Carrie Dessertine of Mey + Co., Skyline Lodge opens following an extensive renovation of the historic 1930s-era property and offers 39 guestrooms and one suite. F&B outlets include Oak Steakhouse on the second floor and Butlers Lounge in the lobby.

Bishop’s Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection
Bordering on 1.5 million acres of Santa Fe National Forest, Bishop’s Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection has opened in New Mexico. Dating back to the 1860s, when Santa Fe’s first archbishop built a chapel and lodge there, the resort unfolds much like a village with ranch-inspired structures. The Lodge stands at the heart of the property beside the restored chapel and The Hall, while the Turquesa Healing Arts Studio sits alongside the fitness center and the main swimming pool.

The resort has 100 guestrooms, suites and standalone accommodations and offers outdoor activities such as mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking and horseback riding.

Settled more than 150 years ago by Bishop Jean Baptiste Lamy, the property once served as the western home to the Pulitzer family and hosted several U.S. presidents over the years. In collaboration with Dallas-based Nunzio Marc DeSantis Architects and the hospitality interiors studio of global design firm HKS, Bishop’s Lodge, Auberge Resorts Collection has been transformed through a $75-million renovation and restoration.

Budgetel Plus Inn & Suites Helen
The north Georgia mountain town of Helen has become home to the country’s first Budgetel Plus Inn & Suites, which opened as a two-floor, 54-room conversion from Jameson Inn.

Helen is also the site of a two-floor, 32-room Haven Inn & Suites and a two-floor, 57-room AmeriVu Inn & Suites, making it the only city to operate a hotel under each of the three flags offered by Hospitality Lodging Systems (HLS).
