LONDON—The Autograph Collection, Marriott International’s exclusive portfolio of one-of-a kind independent hotels, has added a new boutique property to its collection. Hotel Xenia will be Autograph Collection’s third hotel in London, joining St Ermin’s and Threadneedles.
The first Autograph Collection property in West London, Hotel Xenia is an urban-designed hotel located in a Victorian building on Cromwell Rd., in South Kensington. The 99 guestrooms and suites offer some of the city’s largest living space and maintain a boutique charm through a combination of traditional comforts and contemporary touches, which complement the design ethos of Autograph Collection hotels, according to the brand. The Xenia Suite features its own private balcony and onyx stone Turkish bath, complete with views of the city.
The Hotel’s restaurant, Evoluzione, is helmed by Michelin-starred Chef Andrea Angeletti. His menus feature traditional Italian dishes with modern European and Mediterranean influences. The nearby Living Wall bar offers a vibrant selection of signature cocktails and Italian-style aperitifs created by a team of mixologists.
Opposite the bar is Xenia Lounge, an atmospheric setting for coffee or drinks with handmade Bohemia wallpaper and designer pieces. The space features an 84-in. 3D Ultra HD TV, pool table, ping-pong table and a selection of board games. The hotel is also home to a heated herb garden and humidor that houses a collection of Cuban cigars for guests to purchase.
John Licence, brand leader for Autograph Collection Hotels in Europe, noted, “The portfolio continues to grow in Europe, and we believe that Hotel Xenia is a powerful addition as it truly embodies the philosophy of the collection, ensuring the brand’s offering continues to be exactly like nothing else.”
