Hotel Brands Make Debuts Abroad

INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Marriott, Wyndham and IHG brands are entering new markets with openings oversees. Here’s a look at the debuts in Peru; Kenya; Cyprus; Armenia and Venice, Italy:

AC Hotels by Marriott Opens First Hotel in Peru

AC Hotels by Marriott has opened the AC Hotel Lima Miraflores, located in the Miraflores district, marking the brand’s first location in Peru. The AC Hotel Lima Miraflores is 18 stories high with 150 rooms, 11 suites and two meeting rooms with a total area of 882 sq. ft. and a capacity of 90 people. The hotel is also surrounded by boutiques, restaurants and other local attractions. The hotel has a restaurant and rooftop.

Autograph Collection Hotels Debuts in Kenya

Autograph Collection Hotels has welcomed Sankara Nairobi to its portfolio, marking the debut for the brand in Kenya. Set in the heart of Westlands, Sankara Nairobi is in the center of the city’s commercial, retail and entertainment quarter. The hotel is close to the United Nations Headquarters, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and the Wilson Airport. The hotel has 168 guestrooms, food and beverage options, meeting spaces, a fitness center and rooftop pool.

The Luxury Collection Debuts in Cyprus With Parklane

The Luxury Collection has opened Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol. Owned and operated by Parklane Hotels Limited, the property marks Marriott International’s entry into Cyprus and the first international luxury branded resort in the country. The hotel has 274 guestrooms and suites, food and beverage options, a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, a gym and meeting spaces.

Wyndham Enters Armenia With Ramada Opening

Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Yerevan, in Armenia is open close to Republic Square, marking Wyndham’s entry into the country. The hotel has 202 guestrooms, four meeting rooms, a fitness center, sauna and Hammam, as well as two restaurants. It is also close to Zvartnots International Airport, the National Gallery, the History Museum and the Opera and Ballet Theatre of Armenia. The hotel will be managed by City Central LLC under a franchised agreement.

IHG’s Indigo Debuts in Venice

IHG has opened Hotel Indigo Venice—Sant’Elena marking the brand’s debut in Venice, Italy. Sant’Elena is a global hub for modern art and culture, close to the home of the Venice International Film Festival and the Murano Glass Factory. Formally a 1930s monastary, the hotel has 75 rooms, food and beverage options and is close to  the Giardini della Biennale park.
