Pebblebrook Adds DC Hotel to Unofficial Z Collection
Pebblebrook Hotel Trust has planned a $25 million renovation and transformation of Donovan Hotel to Hotel Zena as the newest member of the “Unofficial Z Collection,” the company’s individually curated portfolio of urban lifestyle hotels. Hotel Zena is expected to open in the second quarter of 2020 in Washington, DC. Located in Logan Circle, at the beginning of Washington, DC’s 14th St. corridor, with music venues, galleries and boutiques, while also adjacent to the downtown business district, the 191-room Hotel Zena will celebrate female empowerment. The upper-upscale lifestyle hotel will have a property-wide art program, a cocktail-focused lobby lounge, a rooftop pool and meeting space.
Crescent Hotels & Resorts Adds Sarasota Modern Hotel to Latitudes Collection
The Sarasota Modern, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, will join Crescent Hotels & Resorts “Latitudes” collection of lifestyle resorts. Crescent & Latitudes, based in Fairfax, VA, is an operator of hotels and resorts throughout the US and Canada. An architectural fixture of the Rosemary District close to downtown Sarasota, FL, the boutique hotel has created a series of micro-paradises delivering curated living experiences to promote both internal and external discovery. The lifestyle hotel has custom-designed room-type and features, private balconies overlooking pools and private cabanas, a restaurant and lounge including outdoor terrace dining, a private dining room, fitness center and event space.
Zemi Beach House Joins LXR Hotels & Resorts
LXR Hotels & Resorts, Hilton’s collection of luxury hotels, has added Zemi Beach House as the brand’s first hotel to open in the Americas. The 76-key, beachfront hotel continues to be owned, operated and managed by the Goldstein family of New York. The six-acre hideaway is located on the Shoal Bay East on the northeast coast of Anguilla and is accessible from St. Maarten International Airport via a sea shuttle or directly by private jets and small carriers into Anguilla’s International Airport. Zemi Thai House Spa, set in an authentic 300-year-old Thai House has 15,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space, a spa, food and beverage options, multiple pools and a fitness center.
Kirkwood Collection Adds Historic Hotel
Kirkwood Collection, a new luxury hotel brand, revealed the recent addition and upcoming renovation of the historic Garden Street Inn hotel in San Luis Obispo, CA, expanding its portfolio to five properties. Garden Street Inn is in Downtown San Luis Obispo within central-coast wine country. The 8,000-sq.-ft., 1887 Italianate/Queen Ann Victorian Mansion was restored and converted into a 13-room bed and breakfast in 1989. Currently in the design-development phase, the renovation will commence in late 2020 and be completed in early 2021 elevating Garden Street Inn to Kirkwood Collection elegance while remaining loyal to its historic roots. The brand will also debut a boutique restaurant and wine bar, serving high tea to locals and travelers alike.
