Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel Debuts Designs, Spaces

HOLLYWOOD, CA—Thompson Hotels’300-room Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel redesigned its historic Cabana Rooms and debuted three entertainment venues: Public Kitchen & Bar, The Spare Room and Beacher’s Madhouse.
The 60 Cabana Rooms surrounding the Tropicana Pool have been redesigned to evoke a 1950s feel. They feature hardwood flooring, herringbone-patterned fabric walls, chaise lounges with orange leather accents and white marble bathrooms. Retractable walls of windows in all Cabana Rooms allow for an indoor/outdoor experience and easy pool access; select rooms offer private patios and balconies.
Located off of the Hollywood Roosevelt’s lobby, Public Kitchen & Bar is a new dining experience from Executive Chef Tim Goodell and The Domaine Restaurant Group. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. Public also features late-night dining and live entertainment.

Public’s interiors by Los Angeles, CA-based design firm, Studio Collective, celebrates the landmark hotel’s original Spanish Colonial architecture, with brass chandeliers anchored by the hotel’s 1927 ceiling fresco, recently uncovered and restored. Oak cabinetry, black walnut tables and cabernet leather booths complement a three-sided, marble-topped bar that looks out to the hotels lobby.
The Spare Room, located above the lobby, and overlooking Hollywood Boulevard, is a modern-day gaming parlor with two reclaimed bowling lanes and custom-built backgammon tables.
Beacher’s Madhouse is a Vaudeville-inspired theater on the hotel’s lower level. The venue extends 2,500 square feet, featuring tiered glass stages and floor-to-ceiling crystal chandeliers. The walls are embedded with a mish-mash of unique objects, such as mannequins and old pieces of furniture.

The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is located at 7000 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. For more information or reservations, visit www.thompsonhotels.com or call 800-950-7667.
