LONDON—InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Linzhu (Australia) Pty Ltd signed an agreement to open the Holiday Inn Sydney Central.
Adding 305 rooms in Sydney by 2020, the hotel is the largest midscale property in the Sydney central business district (CBD) pipeline. The property will have a design-led restaurant, a terrace bar and a 120-seat meeting space. The hotel will be part of a mixed-use development that will include a nearly 10,764-sq.-ft. private art gallery and a retail concourse.
The hotel will be located in the 430 Pitt St. development, which has a 17-story tower with a sloping roof and waterfalls.
