Coastal Property Reopens in Gulf Shores, AL
The Lodge at Gulf State Park, A Hilton Hotel opened its doors after a return to Alabama’s Gulf Coast. Guests of the 350-room, beachfront hotel, located within Alabama’s Gulf State Park, will have views of the Gulf of Mexico or Lake Shelby with access to the emerald green waters of the Gulf and more than 6,150 acres of trails and activities within the Park.
The interior design is focused around a contemporary coastal aesthetic and was inspired by the hotel’s surrounding environment and the history of the former Lodge. This concept was brought to life by Dallas-based interior design firm, Looney & Associates. The company’s design incorporates color, texture and contrast to create comforting spaces that transition from outdoor to indoor space, while maintaining high levels of energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
The hotel has more than 40,000 sq. ft. of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space, including The Gulfview Ballroom, which can accommodate indoor events up to 1,000 guests along with multiple food and beverage options.
Florida Hotel Gets a Full Renovation
Olshan Properties will reopen Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort & Spa in Marco Island, FL, following completion of a $60-million interior and exterior transformation.
The 310-key resort has updated guestrooms, dining options, a redesigned outdoor pool, spa, fitness center and has expanded and upgraded its 12,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, including its 5,000 sq.-ft. grand ballroom.
Embassy Suites Cincinnati Has New Public Spaces, F&B Outlets
American Hotel Income Properties REIT LP has completed approximately $2.3-million of renovations at its Embassy Suites Cincinnati, located across the river from downtown Cincinnati in Covington, KY.
The renovation included updates to all 227 guestrooms, where new bathrooms, TV units, furnishings and artwork were installed. In addition, the atrium was completely rebuilt with a new bar, breakfast buffet, E’terie 24-hour market, communal seating areas and digital docking tables. In addition, the corridors of the hotel were all updated with new carpeting, light fixtures and paint.
Historic Hotel Reopens in Lynchburg, VA
The 105-year-old historic Virginian, Curio by Hilton Hotel completed its recent four-year, $30-million renovation and reopened with Riegel linens in its ballrooms. Premier spun polyester by Riegel is made with Murata Air Jet spun yarn in both warp and weft direction.
Today, the Virginian is an elevated event experience with more than 7,000 sq. ft. of event space for meetings, conferences and receptions. Three F&B areas include the William & Henry Steakhouse, Skyline Grille rooftop dining and Marigold grab-and-go outlet.
