CHICAGO—Hilton has opened its newest hotel here, the dual-branded Hampton Inn by Hilton Chicago Downtown West Loop and Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown West Loop.
The dual-brand property brings 336 new rooms to the area. The properties were developed and are owned by a joint venture between Chicago’s Jupiter Realty Co and Boston-based Intercontinental Real Estate Corporation. The hotels are managed by Hostmark Hospitality Group.
“Chicago has presented a prime opportunity for expansion, coming on the heels of a record-breaking year for Chicago tourism in 2015,” said Phil Cordell, global head, Focused Service and Hampton Brand Management, Hilton.
The dual-brand concept creates enhanced and larger communal areas than what would be standard at a stand-alone property, according to the company. Guests at each property have access to the Sky Fit fitness center, indoor pool and the property’s outdoor Fulton Garden Terrace. The hotel has two lobbies offering two separate check-in desks as well as dining areas.
Located at 116 North Jefferson, the property offers a range of amenities, including free WiFi, a 24-hour business center with complimentary printing, and a fitness center. Each guestroom features floor-to-ceiling windows, the brand’s signature bed, HDTV, a refrigerator and coffeemaker. The hotel also offers 6,200 sq. ft. of meeting and event space.
