HB ON THE SCENE: Vantage Poised To Switch Tech Platforms

LAS VEGAS—Vantage Hospitality Group yesterday said it would switch to new central reservation and property management systems provided by Sabre/Hospitality Solutions, effective February 1.
The company, which has been using the GenARes system, made the announcement at its annual conference at the Golden Nugget here.

CFO/COO Bernie Moyle noted the company has been negotiating with various CRS providers since March 2009. He explained the shift, saying “our membership has grown so fast we now require a different type of technology.”
He also told the company’s membership that it will be a “cost-neutral” change and that the booking fees will remain the same. He also expects very little down time when the conversion is made.
With the ABVI conversion, Sabre—which represented the first Global Distribution System—will have some 13,000 hotels on its hospitality platform, including companies such as Interstate, Preferred Hotels, Woodfin Suites, Sierra Suites and Harrah’s.
