NAPLES, FL—Coral Hospitality, a full-service hospitality management and investment company, has been chosen by Index Investment Group to provide technical services and consulting for a mixed-use development in Marathon Key, FL. As part of the deal, Coral will help redevelop and rebrand 139 acres encompassing the existing Florida Keys Country Club—owned by Index—repositioning it as an innovative, first-of-its-kind resort, golf, entertainment, retail and condominium destination, according to Coral.
“We are proud to be chosen for this innovative project, as it gives us the opportunity to leverage our multi-faceted experience within the resort, golf, luxury, spa, retail and association management sectors,” said Lee Weeks, CEO of Coral Hospitality. “We look forward to realizing the incredible potential of this property, generating a solid ROI for the owners and introducing a new caliber of resort that will redefine travel to the Florida Keys.”
Situated in the Central Florida Keys, the Florida Keys Country Club currently houses a USGA-certified 18-hole golf course, one of only two golf courses in the Florida Keys. There is also a country club, clubhouse, marina and tennis courts on property.
As part of this agreement, Coral Hospitality will work together with the Index Investment Group and the onsite development team—led by Bob Leef and Peter Rosasco—on everything from site planning, architecture and design to hiring, technology and property management.
Most recently, Coral served in a similar role for developers of the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, before assuming co-management responsibilities with Margaritaville.
