My Place Breaks Ground; Openings for Hilton

NATIONAL REPORT—My Place Hotels of America broke ground at 1670 South St. in the city of St. George for Utah’s third My Place Hotel.

The four-story, 63-unit hotel is owned by Hotel Barons STG LLC, and operated by Hotel Barons Management LLC. It is the fourth My Place Hotel developed and owned by Craig Larsen, a Utah native. Attending the groundbreaking were St. George Mayor Jon Pike, My Place EVP of Franchise Development Terry Kline, owner Craig Larsen, My Place President/CEO Ryan Rivett, Tracey Welsh and Pam Palermo of the St. George Chamber of Commerce.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Oxford Opens

The Home2 Suites by Hilton Oxford has opened in Mississippi, bringing the brand one step closer to its 200th property milestone. The hotel has 93 suites and a range of tech-focused and eco-conscious amenities. The property, located at 101 South Lamar Ct., is owned by HHTWO-Oxford LLC and managed by Chamblee Hospitality Group. Adam Salters is serving as general manager.

DoubleTree Expanding Its Footprint

DoubleTree by Hilton is expanding its footprint in communities that have an art and cultural scene. Included in two such destinations are hotels in Greeley, CO, and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Greeley at Lincoln Park features ranch-inspired guestroom wall murals and contemporary suites reflecting the local community. Other hotel highlights include a heated indoor pool, 24-hour fitness center and meeting space for up to 800 people.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Halifax Dartmouth overlooks Halifax Harbor and offers a variety of suites with private balconies. The property has 14,000 sq. ft. of event space, a fitness center, a heated indoor pool and a 24-hour convenience store.
