INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Fujita Kanko Inc., IHG, The One Group Hospitality Inc. and sbe are making personnel moves. Here’s some of the recent appointments across the industry:
Fujita Kanko Inc. Appoints Yoshihiro Ise as President
Fujita Kanko Inc. has appointed Yoshihiro Ise as its new president. Ise becomes the 13th president of Fujita Kanko in its 64-year history, succeeding Akira Segawa. Ise previously served as senior managing executive officer, Fujita Kanko’s number two position. During his 36-year tenure with Fujita Kanko, Ise has held a range of positions at both corporate offices and hotels, which have progressively grown to encompass greater responsibilities. He has managed several key properties as general manager, led multiple corporate initiatives and developed new properties and brands. This year, under Ise’s direction, the company will announce its medium-term management plan beginning 2020. The new president is expected to revitalize and strengthen the company’s management and business practices.
IHG Appoints Jamie Cole as SVP of Global Channels
International Hotel Group has appointed Jamie Cole as SVP of global channels. Cole is charged with maximizing IHG’s revenue delivery across all customer touch-points and creating a more seamless experience. Reporting to George Turner, chief commercial and technology officer, Cole leads a team responsible for all digital and voice channels and the company’s third-party distribution strategy.
With a range of experience, Cole brings a global commercial and operational knowledge spanning digital innovation, product management, distribution and eCommerce. Cole joins IHG from Mandarin Oriental where he most recently led digital and eCommerce, delivering transformational change across digital marketing and guest experience for the luxury brand.
The One Group Hospitality Inc. Names Tyler Loy CFO
The One Group Hospitality Inc. has appointed Tyler Loy as CFO, effective April 1. Linda Siluk, who is serving as interim CFO, has been named to the newly created position of chief administrative officer, effective April 1. Loy has served as VP of strategy at The One Group since September 2018. Prior, he was the VP of finance for Pacific Bells.
sbe Appoints Geoffrey Allan Mills as VP/GM of Hudson Hotel
sbe has appointed industry veteran Geoffrey Allan Mills as VP/general manager of sbe’s Hudson hotel in New York City. Mills will oversee the growth of the property. Geoffrey Allan Mills has more than 30 years of hospitality management experience. Having completed multiple hospitality business restructures, profit improvement plans and repositioning projects, in both branded and independent hotels, Mills will bring his experience to further the growth and success of sbe’s Hudson brand.
