JW Marriott Venice Reinvents Fine Dining
Chef and Restaurateur, Fabio Trabocchi will take over the operations of JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa’s fine dining restaurant. The resort is located on Venice’s private island, Isola delle Rose.
Set to open in April, the hotel’s existing fine dining culinary concept will be reinvented as ‘Fiola at Dopolavoro Venezia,’ with a sophisticated ambiance coupled with architectural details that date back to the 1920s. Fiola at Dopolavoro Venezia will incorporate culinary highlights from the menu of Trabocchi’s existing Michelin-starred restaurant, Fiola DC.
There will be dishes that combine seasonal ingredients locally sourced from Venice’s centuries old Rialto Market, the Adriatic Sea, as well as vegetables and exclusive olive oil from the private island’s own vegetable garden and olive grove. The menu will change daily and provide a nostalgic twist on traditional Venetian cuisine.
Sycuan Casino Resort and Clique Hospitality Partner for New F&B Options
Sycuan Casino Resort in El Cajon, CA, and Clique Hospitality have revealed a partnership as a part of Sycuan’s $260-million expansion with three new concepts. Clique is set to open and operate a steakhouse, a cocktail lounge and a pool experience.
Bull & Bourbon will be an innovative steakhouse with steaks from the in-house butcher program and on-site aging room. Elicit Bar & Lounge is a cocktail lounge serving artisanal cocktails, craft beers, wines and Asian-inspired appetizers. Retreat Pool and Cabanas is an outdoor venue with two pools, a lazy river and a pool deck. The poolside menu has seasonal bites and a full bar.
New Coffee Concept for California Hotel
Portola Hotel & Spa in Monterey Bay, CA has launched on-site Peet’s Coffee, a full-service coffee bar for both hotel guests and city passersby that offers beverages made from freshly roasted and selectively sourced beans. Portola guests can enjoy salads, sandwiches and wraps along with free WiFi and a pet-friendly patio.
Velas Vallarta in Mexico Welcomes New Amenity
Velas Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico is pairing creamy bites with craft beer. Served alongside goat cheese spheres, rolled in chili salt, poppy seeds, pistachios and crushed almonds, the artisanal beverage is from Cerveceria Los Cuentos, the original craft brewery in Puerto Vallarta. The VIP perk can also be requested on arrival by all guests, included in the nightly rate.
