Four Hotel Acquisitions to Watch

NATIONAL REPORT—Hoteliers are snapping up assets as 2018 comes to a close. Here’s a look at recent acquisitions:

DiamondRock Acquires Cavallo Point, The Lodge At The Golden Gate Bridge

DiamondRock Hospitality Company has acquired Cavallo Point, the Lodge at the Golden Gate, a premier luxury hotel located in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in Sausalito, CA. Cavallo Point is situated at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge with views of the San Francisco Bay.

In Boston, Holiday Inn Hotel Portfolio is Purchased

AWH Partners LLC, Maddd Equities, LLC and Joy Construction Corporation purchased three Holiday Inn hotels in the Boston suburbs—Holiday Inn & Suites Boston-Peabody; Holiday Inn & Suites Marlborough; and Holiday Inn Boston-Dedham Hotel and Conference Center in an off-market transaction. Spire Hospitality, AWH’s full-service hospitality management company, is now managing the properties. The group signed long-term franchise agreements with IHG and will begin extensive renovations to each of the hotels, including upgrades to the guestrooms, common areas and meeting space.

McNeill Hotel Investors Acquires Hilton Garden Inn Beaverton

McNeill Hotel Investors acquired the four-story, 150-room Hilton Garden Inn Beaverton, adding to the company’s growing portfolio. The select-service hotel has four meeting rooms totaling 2,070 sq. ft. of space; a fitness center and indoor pool; Charley’s on Sunset, serving breakfast and dinner; and the Pavilion Pantry Market.

MCR Acquires The Hilton Garden Inn near Denver

MCR has acquired the 157-room Hilton Garden Inn Denver South Park Meadows Area. Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center and an onsite Garden Grille & Bar, which offers a breakfast buffet and dinner. The Pavilion Lounge serves cocktails.
