Five U.S. Openings to Know

NATIONAL REPORT—Cambria Hotels continues its westward expansion with an opening in Phoenix, Tru by Hilton made its debut in Wisconsin, and there’s more U.S. openings.

Grand Opening for Cambria in Phoenix

The Cambria Hotel North Scottsdale Desert Ridge is the newest Cambria Hotels property to join O’Reilly Hospitality Management’s portfolio. Choice Hotels and O’Reilly Hospitality Management have also collaborated on the development of Cambria Hotel Plano, TX; Cambria Hotel McAllen, TX; and the soon-to-open Cambria Hotel Omaha, NE.

O’Reilly Hospitality Management also has plans to break ground on two more Cambria Hotels projects later this year in Louisville, KY, and Sarasota, FL.

Tru by Hilton Debuts in WI

Tru by Hilton Madison West will open next month in Madison, WI, marking the brand’s debut in the state. The 106-room hotel is owned and managed by North Central Group (NCG).

Guestrooms will be smaller and more efficiently designed with 55-in. TVs, all-shower bathrooms and premium bath amenities from Not Soap, Radio.

F&B has been reinvented, offering a build-your-own complimentary “Top It” breakfast bar that has more than 30 sweet and savory toppings.

Tech-savvy features will include mobile check-in, digital key, free WiFi, remote printing, social media wall, super-charging stations and accessibility to outlets throughout.

Fairmont’s Second Largest Hotel Opens

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened Fairmont Austin, offering 1,048 guestrooms, five restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool and full-service spa.

Other amenities include a fitness center, nearly 140,000 sq. ft. of event space, and direct access to the Austin Convention Center via the Red River Canopy Walk.

Fairmont Austin debuts as the largest Fairmont property in the United States, as well as the second largest Fairmont hotel globally, in both number of rooms and total meeting and event space.

Omni Louisville Opens

After more than two years of construction, Omni Louisville Hotel is now open following a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Omni Louisville Hotel is a $300-million investment by Omni Hotels & Resorts and Metro Louisville. The project has created nearly 400 permanent jobs, according to the brand.

Among the more than 20 distinct amenities are a 20,000-sq.-ft. urban market and food hall, a speakeasy with a bowling alley, extensive event spaces, a local art gallery and a luxury spa.

Ohio Gets a Boutique Hotel

First Hospitality Group Inc. (FHG) and Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) opened the Hancock Hotel in Findlay, OH.

The five-story, full-service boutique hotel, which began construction in 2016, has European architecture that complements the city’s historic South Main St. With 99 distinctive guestrooms, including 87 standard rooms, 11 suites and a presidential suite, the hotel also includes an expansive lobby space, fitness center, 7,040 sq. ft. of meeting space, and a ballroom that can hold 360 guests for larger events. Additionally, there is Mancy’s Steakhouse.
