Marcus Hotels & Resorts Appoints Carl Dees as VP of Operations
Marcus Hotels & Resorts has named Carl Dees VP of operations. He recently was with Crescent Hotels & Resorts, where he served as VP of operations for the third-party hotel management company. His tenure with Crescent Hotels & Resorts began in 2006 after he joined the company as GM of the Livonia Marriott in Livonia, MI. He then moved on to become GM of The Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta and was promoted to regional director of operations in 2011. His 35-year hospitality career also includes positions with HEI Hotels & Resorts, Interstate Hotels & Resorts and Richfield Hospitality.
James Savina Named General Counsel for Wyndham Destinations
Wyndham Vacation Ownership has named James Savina as EVP and general counsel for Wyndham Destinations. He will become a member of the Wyndham Destinations executive leadership team. In his capacity as general counsel, he will oversee all aspects of the company’s legal services. He will also serve as corporate secretary and chief ethics and compliance officer for the company. Prior to joining Wyndham Destinations, he served as general counsel and corporate secretary at The Kraft Heinz Company. Previously, Savina served as SVP of deputy general counsel and chief compliance officer for Kraft Foods Group. His prior experience includes roles as executive director of global legal investigations and legal operations for Avon Products; senior counsel and director of claims and legal administration for energy future holdings; and associate for Jones Day.
Radisson Hotel Group Strengthens its Americas Sales Team
Radisson Hotel Group today has added two new appointments to its Americas sales team. Laurie Czyz has joined Radisson Hotel Group as senior director of meetings and events and will lead a team executing group sales strategies and partnerships in the Americas. Angela Galeziowski has joined the team as director of strategy and performance.
