Execs on the Move: Teneo Hospitality Group, Mumford Company, More

NATIONAL REPORT—Hotel Business is tracking personnel changes. Teneo Hospitality Group, Mumford Company, Castell Project and Marcus Hotels & Resorts have recently made moves. Here are the details:

Teneo Hospitality Group Names April Egloff Director of Sales Midwest
Teneo Hospitality Group has appointed April Egloff as director of sales Midwest. She launched her hotel sales career in 2006 at the Ambassador East Hotel, serving as the senior entertainment sales manager. Recruited in 2010 to the opening team for the Hotel Palomar, a Kimpton Hotel, she helped position the Palomar as one of the Windy City’s top-tier hotels. During her six years as the property’s senior sales manager, she led the sales team in exceeding the hotel’s ambitious revenue goals.

In 2016, she left Chicago and moved to Lake Geneva, WI, where she took a senior sales manager position at Lake Lawn Resort on Lake Delevan, one of the area’s leading resorts. During her three-year tenure, she again spearheaded a sales effort that surpassed all previous goals.

Mumford Company Promotes From Within
Mumford Company has promoted two individuals to VP: Andrew C. Smith from the firm’s Washington D.C. office and Ryan P. Patterson from the firm’s Dallas Texas office.

Smith joined Mumford Company in July 2012 as a sales analyst and began his brokerage role in September 2014 as an associate. With his continued success, Smith was promoted to senior associate in 2017.

Patterson joined Mumford company in September 2015 as an associate for the firm’s Dallas office and in 2017 was promoted to senior associate.

Castell Project Appoints Catherine Morgen to Board of Directors
Morris, Manning & Martin LLP’s Catherine Morgen has been appointed to the board of directors for Castell Project. Morgen, who is a partner in Morris, Manning & Martin LLP’s Commercial Real Estate Development, Finance and Hospitality Practices in Atlanta, joins the three-year-old organization in its goal to ensure that women move to 1-in-3 executive positions of power and influence in the industry, as well as the organization’s “Ladder Up” capital campaign that has a goal of raising $1 million  to help women climb the corporate ladder.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts Promotes Joe Jackson to VP of F&B
Marcus Hotels & Resorts has promoted Joe Jackson to VP of F&B. In his new position, he oversees the company’s catering, banquets and 40-plus signature restaurants, bars and lounges across the company’s 21 properties.

A seasoned hospitality industry veteran, Jackson began his tenure with Marcus Hotels & Resorts in 2016 as interim GM of Mason Street Grill, located adjacent to the company’s flagship property, The Pfister Hotel, in Milwaukee. In 2017, he was promoted to Marcus Hotels & Resorts corporate director of F&B where he played a critical role in creating seasonal drink and dining promotions for the company’s restaurants and bars, developed new event experiences for various Marcus Hotels & Resorts restaurants, and implemented new food and beverage service standards. Prior to joining the company, Jackson spent 23 years with Hyatt Hotels Corporation in various leadership roles, including four years as corporate director of F&B. In this role, he oversaw F&B at the company’s full-service hotels, as well as created new food and beverage concepts for various properties across the portfolio.
