NATIONAL REPORT—Personnel shifts are happening in the hotel industry, with executive appointments at Pacifica Hotels, MGM Resorts International, Lexicon and PurpleCloud. Here are the details:

Pacifica Hotels Promotes Chris Marquis to EVP of Acquisitions
Pacifica Hotels has appointed Chris Marquis to EVP of investments and acquisitions. He has served as the VP of Pacifica Hotels for the past four years, primarily responsible for the development of both commercial and private equity assets. Prior to his career at Pacifica, Marquis joined GE Capital’s Executive Leadership Program.

MGM Resorts Appoints Keith A. Meister to the Board
MGM Resorts has appointed Keith A. Meister to its board of directors. With his appointment, the company’s board has been expanded from 12 to 13 directors. He’s the managing partner and COO of Corvex Management LP, which beneficially owns approximately 3% of MGM’s outstanding shares. He previously served as a director on the boards of Yum! Brands Inc., The Williams Companies, The ADT Corporation, Ralcorp Holdings, Motorola, Inc./Motorola Mobility, Inc. and American Casino & Entertainment Properties, among others.

Lexicon Travel Technologies Names Chief Revenue Officer
Lexicon Travel Technologies has appointed Michelle Marquis as its chief revenue officer. Her experience in the hospitality industry as a hotelier focused on leading sales and marketing teams, as well as, in the last decade as an executive within a vacation rental industry SaaS technology company gives her the skills and knowledge to round out the executive team at Lexicon, according to the company.

PurpleCloud Hires New VP of Engineering
PurpleCloud hired Joe Dursun to serve as VP of engineering. Prior to joining PurpleCloud, Joe was VP of engineering for SynapseMX Inc., a software provider of cloud-based solutions focused on delivering real-time data and operational insights to modern maintenance teams. He was also an integral member of Clockwise.MD, an Atlanta-based software company that quickly became one of the top patient scheduling tool for urgent cares across the country.
