Execs on the Move: Aimbridge Hospitality, KAI Enterprises, More…

NATIONAL REPORT—Hotel Business is tracking personnel movements in the industry. Aimbridge Hospitality, KAI Enterprises, Intelity and Donohoe Hospitality Services (DHS) have made changes to their rosters. Here are the details:

Aimbridge Hospitality Names Simon Mendy as SVP of Operations
Aimbridge Hospitality has appointed Simon Mendy to SVP of operations. He brings 20 years of hospitality management experience, distinguished by significant gains in revenue and profitability in his previous positions. Most recently, Mendy served as EVP of operations for Extended Stay America, where he held multiple leadership positions over the last two decades.

KAI Enterprises has named Darren L. James as president
Darren L. James is the new president at KAI Enterprises. For more than a decade, he has been a member of KAI’s corporate leadership team, helping to set the strategic tone and direction for offices across the country. He has focused his corporate efforts on strategic growth, team building, marketing and communications; and his external efforts on civic engagement, community building, education, mentoring and outreach.

He joined KAI in 1993 as a recent graduate of the University of Kansas School of Architecture & Urban Design, where he served a variety of roles within the organization. Upon becoming a registered architect, he transitioned from design production to business activities. He became a business development specialist, learning how to run and manage a design firm. Showing success in the St. Louis market, gaining private and public clients, he approached KAI leadership to begin marketing and sales opportunities on a national level.

Intelity Expands Leadership Team
Intelity has hired Young Lee and Erynn Torrenga. Additionally, the company has promoted Benjamin Keller to SVP of sales, west.

Lee joins Intelity as VP of finance. He comes to Intelity from Change Financial, a U.S.-focused financial technology (FinTech) start-up where he served as the CFO and was responsible for building the company’s finance functions from the ground up. Prior to that, he worked as a consultant with Deloitte’s New York office for 10 years where he focused on the financial services industry and specialized in financial optimization strategies.

Torrenga rejoins Intelity as the new SVP of sales, east. She previously worked for three years as Intelity’s VP of hospitality sales from 2010 to 2013, before joining Cendyn as its senior director of sales. Prior to that, she worked as VP of business development for Metropolis Technologies.

The former VP of sales at Keypr, Keller, has been named SVP of sales, west. He will oversee sales efforts on the West Coast, and will continue expanding Intelity’s reach in the casino market globally. Prior to his time at Keypr, Keller spent nine years serving as the regional sales director for Bally Technologies and Scientific Games, focusing on the central and western regions of the U.S., along with key corporate accounts.

Leticia Proctor Joins Donohoe Hospitality
Leticia Proctor has returned to Donohoe as SVP of sales, marketing and revenue management.

She has more than 21 years of sales leadership at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Crestline Hotels and Resorts and Hersha Hospitality Management. She most recently served as SVP of sales, marketing and digital strategies at PM Hotel Group.
