ATLANTA—Kana Hotel Group, in partnership with Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development, has broken ground on the Embassy Suites by Hilton Atlanta Gwinnett-Sugarloaf in Gwinnett County, metro Atlanta. The full-service, all-suite hotel near the Gwinnett Center represents an investment of $30 million to the community, according to the company.
Located at 2029 Satellite Blvd., in the Sugarloaf corridor, the new hotel will be constructed and designed in the brand’s Design Option III style. The design features a variety of side-by-side suites, and one-room suites in addition to a contemporary atrium area, decreasing the amount of land needed and creating efficiencies for both construction and operational costs.
The Embassy Suites Atlanta Gwinnett-Sugarloaf will feature signature amenities, including 166 suites, more than 7,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, free cooked-to-order breakfast each morning, a nightly complimentary evening reception and two-room suites with a separate living area, private bedroom, two flat-screen high-definition televisions and wet bar fitted with a microwave, mini-fridge and a selection of gourmet coffee and teas from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. The property will offer complimentary, 24-hour fitness and business centers, along with an indoor pool.
“The goal of our plan is to deliberately provide a sense of destination to the Gwinnett Center area and provides ample opportunity for visitors to linger and for residents to use the space for year-round entertainment,” said Preston Williams, CEO and managing director of the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau and Gwinnett Center. “We want to create an environment that utilizes existing amenities, places to work, and places to play, all within walking distance of each other.”
