CHICAGO—As the COVID-19 pandemic has made the desire for contactless interaction greater, a new digital signage solution has been launched to make it easier to do just that.
Percipia, a provider of hospitality integration, telephony and mobility solutions, has launched Latitude DS, which is built on the backbone of the company’s Latitude mobility platform, and provides two fully customizable solution structures.
The system can be implemented via a lobby freestanding or wall-mounted Android screen to offer mobile check-in, checkout, spa reservation, flight information, conference schedule and additional guest-centric information. It can also be installed outside of every guestroom via a wall-mounted tablet to display the hotel logo, room number, room status indicators like DND, makeup room, and go green service refusal, as well as hotel promotions.

The system has the ability to change the information on the signage instantaneously. “We can broadcast alerts seamlessly throughout the property,” he said. “We offer a greener solution by eliminating printed material. A major differentiator is that our solution can integrate to virtually all hotel systems for a more streamlined experience.”
Latitude DS is also an extension of a hotel’s emergency broadcast process to instantly dispatch and display emergency memos to all screens outside of every room and kiosk station. “This is a space we know very well,” said Velasquez. “Our other solutions provide real-time SMS, computer pop-ups, emails and phone calls to hotel staff when there is an emergency. Latitude is our way of providing a visual and audio mass broadcast to guests. Instead of hotel staff running to reach room to provide printed alerts and procedures, Latitude can immediately present that same information on every screen in and outside every hotel room. During an emergency, time is of the essence.”
