AKRON, OH—Courtyard by Marriott Akron Downtown is scheduled to open here on March 17. The hotel features Courtyard’s newest design scheme.
Located at 41 Furnace St. the 146-room hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned by Concord Testa & Associates LLC and managed by Concord Hospitality Enterprises of Raleigh, NC. The property is located near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Akron Civic Theatre, the University of Akron and the Akron Zoo.

The Marriott Akron Downtown features a room design which allows guests to store bags on a luggage drop and plug personal devices into a tech drop ledge. Additionally, the property includes new guestroom furniture, such as a new sofa and a light desk on wheels. The bathroom contains a shower nook to store shampoos and towels.
The nine-storey hotel has an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, a 20-seat movie theater and offers 2,675 sq. ft. of meeting space.
