BIRMINGHAM, AL—HP Hotels, a full-service, third-party hotel management company, has hired Bill Oliver to serve as the company’s area VP of operations.
The addition is part of HP’s initiative to invest in human capital to support sustained corporate growth in light of HP’s current development pipeline. Charles Oswald, president and COO, made the announcement.
In this newly created position, Oliver will have responsibilities for day-to-day operational execution of a portfolio of full-service and upscale-focused service hotels that initially include Hilton-, Marriott- and Starwood-branded assets.
Oliver has more than 30 years of experience in the industry and a strong track record of identifying key strategic opportunities and driving tactical execution to improve top-line sales and profits for companies ranging from start-ups to over $120 million in revenue, according to the company. Brands include Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Choice, Crowne Plaza, Independents and Casino operations.
Commenting on the addition of Oliver to the organization, Oswald said, “Bill is a seasoned industry professional, well-respected and with a strong track record of success.
