Best Western Opens in Myanmar

BANGKOK—The Best Western Thousand Island Hotel has opened on Inle Lake in Myanmar’s Shan State. It is situated in the riverfront of Nyaung Shwe, the city north of the lake that acts as the main trade and transportation gateway to Inle.

The hotel has 48 guestrooms outfitted with free WiFi, flat-screen TVs with international channels, built-in closets, complimentary coffee and tea, safety boxes and slippers. Elsewhere on the property, there is a hot tub, billiard room, rooftop bar and a riverfront cafe, which features indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the river.

Best Western Thousand Island Hotel is the hotel group’s third property in Myanmar, joining the Best Western Green Hill Hotel and Best Western Chinatown Hotel, both of which are located in downtown Yangon.
