BROOKLYN, NY—Benchmark Hospitality International will manage Hotel 718, a 128-guestroom, 19-floor property slated to open here in November at 231 Duffield St.
V3 Hotels is the owner and developer of the property.
Gregory Atkins, president of V3 Hotels, noted, “Downtown Brooklyn is the fastest growing district in New York City and we know that there is a major demand for hotel rooms in the area.”
Designed by H. Thomas O’Hara, the $25 million Hotel 718—named in recognition of Brooklyn’s telephone area code—will feature floor-to-ceiling windows and red artesian textured brick with matching mortar, and an angular façade will provide each room with a different view floor by floor.
Guestrooms will feature wireless Internet access, MP3 docking stations, large HD flat-screen televisions, as well as gaming consoles upon request. The eco-sensitive hotel will include a rooftop sundeck and garden. Upon completion, Hotel 718 will offer spa services, a fitness center and cardio room, and 24-hour Brooklyn-centric concierge services. The hotel also will feature a 75-seat signature restaurant and bar.
