COLORADO SPRINGS, CO—Benchmark Hospitality International has completed a $20 million renovation at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort here.
The project, which began in May of last year, was headed by Denver-based Ricca Newmark Design. First to be upgraded was the resorts restaurant, which now features Brazilian cherry wood furnishings and a 15-foot custom firepit. Additionally, the propertys 38 meeting rooms have been outfitted with new carpeting, wall coverings, furnishings, sound systems, lighting and rear projection screens.
In Cheyenne Mountain Resorts 316 guestrooms are new custom furnishings as well as new flooring, linens and fixtures. All guest bathrooms have also been revamped. Inspired by its location, highlights of the guestrooms include a color scheme that takes its cues from the Colorado landscape as well as custom-designed headboards and embroidered sheer draperies. The property has also recently been recognized as an official Green Seal resort.
