At The Adolphus, Spa Director Seeks to Elevate the Experience

DALLAS—With a new spa director on board, The Adolphus, an Autograph Collection hotel, is ready to further elevate the wellness experience for its guests.

Helmed by Amy Bell, the Spa Adolphus will benefit from her many years of experience with luxury brands such as The Ritz-Carlton and high-end skin care companies like Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare. She also served as the spa manager for the Ritz-Carlton, Denver and The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas for more than seven years.

Now, Bell is ready to make Spa Adolphus stand out as a destination spa for international visitors and locals alike.

“I’m focused on implanting those essential details that shape the overall experience, including bringing in new treatment lines and products, as well as elevating signature treatments that make Spa Adolphus special,” said Bell. “My goal continues to be providing the luxury service and genuine care to our guests that the Adolphus has become known for.”

In a Q&A with Hotel Business, Bell outlines how she will cultivate a peaceful and relaxing experience for guests:

What is your wellness philosophy and how do you integrate it into your work at The Adolphus?

In the spa industry, our job is to take care of others—both our guests and our team members. We often forget to take care of ourselves the way that we would a guest. Self-care is the most important practice to consider for personal wellness. You have to be happy and healthy as your energy is felt by others and guests, and truly shapes the experience for them.

How do you define wellness in terms of the spa experience?

The spa experience is about taking that extra step toward personal wellness and self-care. Any guest experience should be tailored to their specific needs and what their body needs in order to improve overall health and wellness, which is different for every person that comes to our spa.

What attracted you to the brand?

The Adolphus is iconic in Dallas. When I was presented with the opportunity to be a part of this amazing team and represent this hotel, there was no question.

With your varied background and expertise, what do you hope to bring to this role?

We recently started offering weekday promotions to drive weekday business for both business travelers and working professionals in downtown Dallas. We will also host several events in the coming months, including a second “Botox and Bubbles” party in partnership with Dr. Jeffrey Adelglass of Skintastic that proved to be successful in December. To attract locals, we will be rolling out an amazing Loyal Locals Program with many different perks offered in Spa Adolphus and other outlets in the hotel.
