Aimbridge renovates multiple full-service, resort properties

Aimbridge Hospitality has revealed that multiple managed properties are rebound ready, emerging from the pandemic with renovated assets.

The former Sheraton Columbia Towne Center Hotel’s repositioning to the Merriweather Lakehouse, Autograph Collection is anticipated to debut in July 2021 following extensive renovations. The 212-room Columbia, MD, property is located on 12 wooded acres overlooking Lake Kittamaqundi. Dining options will include a restaurant and lounge with prime lakefront views, and amenities will include a jogging path, rooftop outdoor swimming pool and lounge and more than 12,400 sq. ft. of meeting and event space.

Recently reopened after a $20 million renovation and operating under a new brand flag, the Hayes Mansion San Jose, Curio Collection by Hilton is known as one of the best examples of late 19th-century Mediterranean Revival architecture in the Santa Clara/Silicon Valley, according to the company. Its 214 guestrooms and suites have combined traditional design and textures with contemporary colors, artwork and lighting to create a respectful blend of the rich history of the Hayes Mansion estate with the modern style and amenities desired by today’s guests. Two on-site dining options serving American staples with a Pan-Asian twist provide indoor-outdoor spaces for guests to spread out, in addition to 35,000 sq. ft. of lawn space connected to a 20-acre park. Amenities are rounded out with more than 30,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, outdoor heated pool, two whirlpools, fitness center and recreational activities like tennis, basketball, sand volleyball and golf nearby.

The Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown, part of the Logan Square neighborhood, has a newly redesigned property after $30 million in renovations with all-new rooms and suites, lobby and dining outlets. The property, the second largest in the city with 760 rooms, has views of the Center City just three blocks from more than 120 attractions. Amenities include three dining options, room service and an upgraded 2,071-sq.-ft. fitness center with four Peloton bikes with Peloton Digital for on-demand and live classes. An additional 60,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space with a team of professionals to plan every detail.

Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center has also completed full renovations including improvements to the guestrooms, public areas, meeting spaces, fitness facilities and dining areas in addition to enhanced cleanliness measures and fresh finishes throughout. The modern accommodations feature ergonomic workspaces, Hilton Serenity beds and spa-inspired bathrooms. Multiple dining options are available to guests, from Bar 9 where guests can enjoy rooftop drinks and firepits next to flat-screen TVs, to entrees at Garden Court, to Herb N Kitchen serving fresh bites and Starbucks coffee.

Dana Point, CA’s Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa provides views of the Pacific Ocean in a beach-chic property that recently underwent $25 million in renovations. Located near Doheny State Beach, Dana Point Harbor and Laguna Beach, the resort is known for its casually sophisticated atmosphere and a full-service spa, and many of its guestrooms feature balconies for prime sunrise or sunset views, according to the company. Renovated meeting and event space includes 20,000 sq. ft. of indoor space and event rooms with new state-of-the-art ballroom lighting technology. There is an additional 30,000 sq. ft. of outdoor lawns, terraces and oceanfront patios with brand new pathways for guests including a bridal pathway from a guestroom directly to Vue Lawn, in addition to new grass turf and an exterior staircase from the Vue Lawn to OverVue Lounge. Both resort pool areas were renovated, including the children’s Splash Zone. The restaurant renovation includes updates on the private dining room and expansion of the indoor bar and outdoor patio with additional outdoor seating, five firepits and market lights.
