INTERNATIONAL REPORT—With a recent opening in Turkey, along with two properties underway in Mexico and Montenegro, these new-builds are highlighting local beaches, activities and flavors:
Montenegro Property Offers Beachfront Activities
Karisma Hotels & Resorts is set to open the Holiday Villages Montenegro in late summer. The hotel is on the Montenegrin coast of Ulcinj and will offer views of the Adriatic Sea. Holiday Villages Montenegro is located along the Long Beach (Velika Plaža) close to the historic town of Ulcinj.
The 257-room property will have suites that range from two-bedroom swim-ups to garden view rooms with a terrace. There will also be four restaurants that bring together Mediterranean and international cuisine.
In addition, Holiday Villages Montenegro will have a spa and fitness center, along with on-property activities such as tennis, football, an open-air playground, high ropes course and kite surfing at the Velika Plaža beach.
Turkey Hotel Opens With Private Beach
MP Hotels is set to open next week the Seya Beach Hotel, a design centric hotel in Turkey’s coastal town of Alacati. The 190-room Seya Beach Hotel is the second property of MP hotels Design Plus brand.
The hotel has a private beach, swimming pool, spa center and on-site bars. In addition, the hotel’s Seya Beach Club hosts a DJ. There are also restaurants with several cuisines to choose from, including Turkish, Italian, Mediterranean and Far East cuisines.
Mexico Resort Embraces Nature Reserve
Mystique Blue Boutique Suites, a 38-suite beachfront resort, will open its doors in late summer on Mexico’s island of Holbox. The island is 26 miles within Yum Balam, a protected nature reserve north of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. Guests will have exclusive amenities, such as dining experiences that offer local ingredients at Fresco or a beach bar that crafts signature drinks.
Amenities will include a balcony area with suspended and nest-style seats for two; flat-screen, satellite TVs; WiFi connectivity; and custom mattresses and bedding.
