LIMA, PERU—AccorHotels has started on the construction of two new hotels for the Novotel and Ibis brands in the business center situated in the district Santiago de Surco located here. For this new project, the hotel group signed an agreement with the T & C Group of Peru, which will invest $36.5 million.
“Lima is a key destination in tourism, gastronomy and business, attracting many world travelers’ profiles, so we are committed to the construction of two hotels of different brands to satisfy the economic and midscale segments in the same,” said Joanna Ayala, manager of new business development for Peru of the AccorHotels chain.
The new business center will have three office towers and a shopping area, in addition to the two new hotels that have a total supply of 300 rooms (Novotel with 160 rooms and ibis with 140 rooms).
The project under the Novotel brand complements the existing supply in the country, which already has two units in the cities of Lima and Cuzco. ibis has a hotel in operation (ibis Larco) and one under construction (ibis Redoubt) in Lima. The two new hotels are in the drafting stage and will be built by the T & C Group, real estate with a history of more than 12 years in the construction sector.
AccorHotels has worked as a partner in other projects such as ibis de Redoubt in Miraflores and development of ibis de Lince, which will soon start the construction.
