INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Hotel management companies are expanding and updating their portfolios around the world, from Las Vegas to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Crescent to Manage First Delta Hotel by Marriott in Las Vegas

Las Vegas’ first Delta Hotel by Marriott will be managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 26, and the hotel is expected to open at the end of 2021.

The high-end, 24-floor hotel will offer a full-service, functional experience through approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and approximately 1,600 sq. ft. of retail space, along with convenient amenities including a rooftop pool, fitness center, covered parking, lobby dining bar and coffee bar.

Paramount Hotel Group to Manage Red Roof PLUS+ in New York

Paramount Hotel Group has been awarded the management contract for the Red Roof PLUS+ Long Island in Westbury, NY. The property was recently acquired by a subsidiary of the Beechwood Organization in Jericho, NY.

Located close to all local business and shopping in Garden City/Westbury and proximate to LaGuardia and Kennedy airports and Long Island beaches, the 163-room hotel has completed a renovation of all guestrooms, suites and public spaces, complete with a new lobby, new flat screen televisions and new hardwood flooring. 

SB Resort Management Ends Agreement with Two Resorts

SB Resort Management Limited is ending its hotel management agreement with AMResorts for its two Montego Bay resorts, currently named Sunscape Splash and Sunscape Cove. This termination is effective Aug. 30.

The Sunset Beach Resort companies previously operated and managed both properties, formerly known as Sunset Beach and The Oasis at Sunset, from May 1998 to July 2015, before turning over management to AMResorts in August 2015.

Renovations and rebranding programs are being planned for both properties.
