NATIONAL REPORT—Marriott’s family of brands is making moves with a rebranding in Miami and openings across the country from the East Coast to the Midwest.
Turnberry Isle Miami to Rebrand as JW Marriott
Turnberry Isle Miami, Autograph Collection will emerge as JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa. The reimagined hotel has a new 16-story Orchid Tower composed of 325 guestrooms, doubling the resort’s occupancy to 685 rooms. JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa includes a renovated hotel entrance and lobby. Turnberry’s pro shop has also been redesigned and expanded along with the resort’s two 18-hole golf courses.
The second phase of the rebrand will include the introduction of Tidal Cove waterpark, as well as two distinct dining options, Surf House Bar & Grill and FreeStyle. Tidal Cove is set to debut this spring.
Courtyard to Open in Winter Haven, FL
Courtyard by Marriott Winter Haven is scheduled to open on Tuesday. The 111-room hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Murphco of Florida Inc. The Courtyard Winter Haven gives guests access to Legoland Florida and Bok Towers Gardens.
The hotel has food and beverage options, a business library, outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and 624 sq. ft. of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 25 people.
Courtyard Comes to Connecticut
Officials of Titan Hotels, a PA-based, full-service hotel development and management group focused on branded hotels, will open the 125-room Courtyard by Marriott Southington in Connecticut.
The four-story hotel is near Lake Compounce and is proximate to demand generators in the greater Hartford, CT region. There are dining options, 1,100 sq. ft. of meeting space, a fitness center and lobby space.
TownePlace Suites Opens Near St. Louis Attractions
Marriott International’s TownePlace Suites by Marriott St. Louis Chesterfield is now open in Chesterfield, MO. The new hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by KMG Hotels of North Kansas City, MO.
TownePlace Suites St. Louis Chesterfield is close to St. Louis Lambert International Airport and downtown St. Louis. The new hotel also gives guests access to the St. Louis Premium Outlets, Chesterfield Baseball & Softball Association fields and Busch Stadium. In addition, the hotel has an indoor swimming pool, fitness center and on-site business services.
TownePlace Suites Expands in Iowa
Marriott International’s TownePlace Suites by Marriott Dubuque Downtown is now open in Dubuque, IA. The new hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and operated by Milwork Hotel Associates LLC & Kinseth Hospitality Company.
Located in Dubuque’s Millwork District, the new hotel gives guests access to Diamond Jo Casino, the Cable Car Square District, the Dubuque County Fairgrounds and the Kennedy Mall. In addition, the hotel has an indoor swimming pool, a meeting room, laundry facilities and on-site business services.
