A Look at U.S. Openings: DoubleTree, My Place, Fairfield

NATIONAL REPORT—Hotel Business has tracked a spate of U.S. openings this week. Here’s a look at four of them:

DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hollywood Beach
DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hollywood Beach, a newly renovated resort set along the Intracoastal Waterway in Hollywood, FL, is the latest addition to the growing portfolio of hotels from DoubleTree by Hilton.

Through its multimillion-dollar transformation, the property has 311 oversized guestrooms and suites, all with furnished balconies overlooking the property’s amenities. Along with a 24-hour business center, DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hollywood Beach has 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including a boardroom and outdoor pavilion for up to 250 guests.

My Place Hotel Opens Near Des Moines, IA
My Place Hotel-Altoona/Des Moines has opened. The three-story, 64-unit hotel is located at 2315 Adventureland Dr. The opening of the property marks the first of many for owner Matt Eller of Eller Enterprises, who first announced his plan to build 40 My Place Hotels at the property’s groundbreaking in May.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Raleigh North

The 88-room Fairfield Inn & Suites Raleigh North is scheduled to open today in Raleigh, NC, offering an upgraded public space and guestroom design. Located at 6408 Capital Blvd., the hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Daly Seven Inc. of Danville, VA. Located across from the Triangle Town Center and 17 miles from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, the property is accessible to the WRAL Soccer Park, PNC Arena and the North Carolina State Capitol.

Best Western Hotels & Resorts Welcomes BW Premier Collection to Mississippi
The Magnolia Bluffs Casino Hotel, BW Premier Collection in Natchez, MS, has opened after being fully renovated. There are 133 guestrooms, public spaces have been refreshed to reflect a mid-century modern design, and four banquet and meeting rooms were also renovated.
