Three Hotels Rebrand With New Identities

INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Whether changing brands or going independent, these conversion hotels are changing names, looks and branding.

Innside Lima Miraflores

Tryp Lima Miraflores has rebranded to Innside Lima Miraflores, joining the Innside by Meliá portfolio. The property has undergone renovations to update its facilities and attributions to the recently renewed standards expected of the Innside by Meliá brand. 

This marks the second Innside property in the Americas region, together with the Innside New York NoMad. The Innside by Meliá brand currently operates 21 properties in six countries. The rebranded property has 140 guestrooms, a signature restaurant, business center, 24-hour fitness center, pool and rooftop bar.

The guestrooms at Innside Lima Miraflores adapt to each type of traveler. They offer a contemporary and urban design that caters to the bleisure traveler. Additionally, Innside Lima Miraflores is an ideal option for families with family rooms offering a king-sized bed and a bunk bed for children to sleep comfortably.

BEI San Francisco

BEI San Francisco has officially reflagged from the Holiday Inn San Francisco Civic Center. The top-­to-bottom, $30-million renovation transformed the newly independent lifestyle hotel. BEI offers 396 guestrooms, and will soon offer two dining options and 10,000 sq. ft. of co­working, meeting and event space.

Designed by iu + bibliowicz Architects LLP and Steinberg Hart, the hotel offers seven completely remodeled room categories, each averaging 350­ sq. ­ft. Most notable is BEI’s “Stay Work Play” rooms that feature beds that tuck away to transform living space into working space with an additional outdoor terrace for breakout meetings and sessions. In addition, BEI offers 3,000 sq. ft. of traditional meeting space that can become three breakout rooms, and 7,000 sq. ft. of flexible space, which includes the lobby, game room, gallery and fourth floor outdoor terrace. A new 800-sq.-ft. fitness center will be located near the outdoor terrace to complement the classes and wellness programming that BEI plans to implement in spring.

“The Mid­-Market neighborhood is a prime destination for our first U.S. location, situated amongst a host of culturally diverse restaurants and boutique shops, as well as local tech leaders like Dolby Laboratories and Twitter headquarters,” said Mimi Carter, director of sales and marketing for BEI.

This spring, two new food and beverage concepts on the ground floor. Sum, the restaurant and bar, will be a casual dining concept, open for breakfast and dinner, featuring paired shareable plates and classic cocktails, craft beer and wine. Ren, will be an on-­the­-go daytime dining option with freshly made pastries, specialty deli items, and will feature coffee creations from West Coast favorite, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, beer and wine. The menus and design of both concepts will be announced in the coming months.

Wyndham Newport Hotel

Atlantic Beach Hospitality, a family-owned management company with more than 40 years of industry experience in the local Rhode Island community, has converted the 143-room Wyndham Newport Hotel in Middletown from the Cambria brand.

Perched on a bluff with views of Easton’s Beach, the new Wyndham Newport Hotel is close to the attractions, dining and shopping of downtown Newport, offering 28,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, and the Newport icon Johnny’s Restaurant & Patio Bar.

Offering a green design, the Wyndham Newport Hotel features a fully solar-paneled roof, electricity power harvested from a property-owned solar field located nearby and eco-friendly LED, automatic lights throughout the hotel. All of the 143 guestrooms (including nine suites over 700 sq. ft.) feature wood flooring, soothing colors and expansive windows with views of Easton’s Beach.

Wyndham Newport Hotel also has nearly 30,000 sq. ft. of flexible space and personalized service. Easton’s Pavilion, created specifically for weddings and events with an installed dance floor and built-in bars, and the 8,200-sq.-ft. Atlantic Pavilion are indoor reception venues, while The Pergola and 4,000-sq.-ft. Tent on the South Lawn offer outdoor event options.
