LONG BEACH, CA—The Renaissance Long Beach Hotel, part of the Renaissance Hotels global portfolio, is nearing completion of its $8-million renovation.
The hotel’s renovation included its 374 guestrooms including 14 suites and the presidential suite, which features ocean and harbor views. In addition to the guestrooms, the hotel’s club lounge and fitness center have also been upgraded and expanded. The lobby has been renovated as well and the pool will be refreshed in the second quarter.
“We’re excited to unveil our newly designed guestrooms, club lounge and fitness center to travelers from all over the world,” said Pam Ryan, general manager. “Along with refreshed design, our upcoming lobby renovation will reflect the inspiration of Renaissance Hotels by offering unique discoveries including emerging music, culinary, film and more.”
Hydee D. Hirschm, principal of Creative Resource Associates, a California-based firm that designed the guestrooms and suites, stated, “The room design at the Renaissance Long Beach was created to represent the soothing, tranquil sea within the vibrancy of the city. The hotel design offers a peaceful retreat which mutes the noise of a busy day and the magical, soulful qualities of the sea.” The color palette used incorporates colors of sea and sky including blues, whites, browns and greys.
Located in the entertainment district in downtown Long Beach, the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel is one block from the Long Beach Convention Center. The hotel features dining at the Promenade Cafe and SIP Lounge, an outdoor pool, fitness center and 21,000 sq. ft. of event space.
