Sheraton Crystal City to Undergo $16M Renovation, Rebranding

ARLINGTON, VA—Sheraton Crystal City located here will undergo a $16-million renovation beginning April 2014 and will be converted to The Westin Crystal City.

The renovation includes a complete rejuvenation to the hotel’s 218 guestrooms, lobby, 16,000 sq. ft. of meeting facilities and additional public spaces. The guestrooms will feature the Westin’s Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Bath, enhanced with the Heavenly Shower, Heavenly Robe and White Tea Aloe bath amenities. Each guestroom will include a 42-in. flat screen TV and large workspace. The new lobby design will feature lighting, a new restaurant and bar concept, which will implement all the Westin brand signature services and amenities designed to inspire wellbeing.

In order to expedite the restoration process, the hotel will close for business mid-April 2014 with an anticipated completion date of August 2014. The Westin Brand officials will be hosting a grand pre-opening ceremony in September 2014, inviting some of the Arlington hotel’s regular corporate clients, meeting planners, and association bosses from the Washington, D.C. area.

The Westin Crystal City is located adjacent to the Crystal City Metro Station with convenient access to the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, featuring the Smithsonian Museum, National Monuments as well as government agencies. Additionally, the hotel is located only one mile from the Ronald Reagan National Airport and offers complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport.
