LONDON—Magnuson Worldwide plans to add “chain scale” features to its CRS1 hotel reservation platform today at the Hospitality Technology Europe 2014 Conference in London.
As an addition to the low cost mass-market model launched in the U.K. last October and just last week in the U.S., CRS1 will introduce “chain scale” features which allow small hotel groups enterprise level capabilities.
Magnuson Worldwide CEO Thomas Magnuson stated, “Whether you have 2 or 2,000 hotels, you can now run like OPEC. When you utilize chain-wide standardization of room types, rate plan codes, rate restrictions, policies and procedures and push down to the hotel level, you can run at either a local view or a 50,000 ft. view. By eliminating duplicate work and gaining economies of scale, you can compete with same global advantages as Amazon, Wal-Mart or Exxon.“
With chain scale reporting, a hotel can determine best selling room types or rate plans across entire markets. When a successful strategy is identified, one can deploy it across the entire hotel group.
