MINNEAPOLIS—Carlson appointed Matt Zaruba as chief information security officer for Carlson. He will report directly to Steve Brown, chief information and innovation officer, Carlson.
“Matt brings us broad experience in risk assessment, information security examination, internal audit and disaster recovery throughout a variety of industries,” stated Brown.
Zaruba will lead the company’s information security strategies to create and maintain an environment that safeguards the assets, confidential information and intellectual property of Carlson.
He will work within the company’s information security framework to direct the planning, development and implementation of global security policy and technical security architecture. This includes setting policy, standards and guidelines related to proprietary information, communication systems, data security and integrating security architecture into the ongoing Technology/Security plan.
Most recently, Zaruba served as director, Information Security and Disaster Recovery for Jack Henry & Associates, Inc., a provider of core solutions vital to the banking industry, including processing financial transactions, automating business processes and managing mission-critical information.
