GARDEN CITY, NY—Garden City Hotel officially opened its new American steakhouse, Polo Steakhouse, serving classic, hand-selected, premium-quality steak.
The 120-seat Polo Steakhouse will serve weekday lunches and daily dinners in both the main dining room and the Wine Room, a private space for special events and celebrations for up to 50 guests. The interior, conceived by Italian designer Marcello Pozzi, combines traditional steakhouse dining with modern luxury. The space features hand-laid mahogany herringbone floors, deep cabernet textiles and custom-made Italian furniture, including leather sofas with red piping.
“Polo Steakhouse will honor the tradition of great steakhouses. We are putting forth a modern classic,” stated Grady Colin, general manager of Garden City Hotel. “Expect a sophisticated yet approachable restaurant experience with superlative steaks, seafood and a few surprises—complemented by the attentive and gracious service.”
Polo Steakhouse will offer signature dishes, such as a signature 28-day, dry-aged prime grade Bone In Filet Mignon, Porterhouse for two, Bone In Rib Eye, Kansas City strip steak as well as center-cut Filet Mignon and Colorado lamb chops. Entrees will be complemented by a variety of a la carte starters, salads, side orders and a raw bar. Pricing for steak will range from $40 to $95.
“The key to hand-picking the best steak is partnering with the region’s top purveyors and knowing the breed of cattle, how they are raised and what they are fed,” stated Michael Mandato, executive chef of Polo Steakhouse.
