PITTSBURGH, PA—DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Green Tree completed a multimillion-dollar renovation and will debut the $20 million refresh November 21 at the hotel’s Grand Re-Opening.
The celebration will showcase the hotel’s redesigned features and mark its 40th anniversary.
The transition includes the hotel’s 460 guestrooms, including 11 new suites, more than 40,000 sq. ft. of event space, including the addition of the 10,000-sq.-ft. Starzl Grand Ballroom. A new entry and lobby lead guests into the three new restaurant and lounge outlets.
The hotel features Champions Club Lounge, a sports bar fitted with a media wall with several flat-screen television sets, and casual living room seating. It also offers casual food options and two private dining rooms for small meetings and private gatherings. The Bistro & Marketplace features on-the-go fare and Starbucks coffee, while Seasons Restaurant features seasonal cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The property also offers a fitness center, a heated indoor and outdoor pool and a 24-hour business center.
“The initial guest and meeting planner feedback indicates great excitement for our re-invented rooms, public space and newly expanded ballroom, and we are excited to showcase this transition with the loyal customer base and new clients and affiliates,” stated the new owner, Ira Mitzner, of RIDA Development Corp.
The hotel is managed by Pittsburgh, PA-based CAM Hospitality Management, LLC.
The new lodge design was developed by Jim Looney of Jim Looney and Associates.
