Oaks Hotels & Resorts Adds First Hunter Valley Resort

The Cypress Lakes Resort by Oaks Hotels & Resorts features an outdoor swimming pool.
HUNTER VALLEY, NEW SOUTH WALES—Oaks Hotels & Resorts expanded its presence in one of Australia’s most popular vacation destinations, with the official opening of its first New South Wales Hunter Valley property.
Joining Oaks Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio of more than 40 properties, the former Cypress Lakes Resort will now be known as Cypress Lakes Resort by Oaks Hotels & Resorts.
Oaks Hotels & Resorts’ CEO Brett Pointon stated, “Cypress Lakes Resort is a superb acquisition for the Oaks network and a testament to our commitment to grow on a national and global scale."
Oaks Hotels & Resorts appointed 17-year industry veteran Julie Pettit general manager of the resort.
A two-hour drive from Sydney, the resort consists of 126 luxury one-, two- and three-bedroom villas, featuring kitchen and laundry facilities, separate lounge and dining areas, and private balconies, some with views over the golf course. 
The property also offers two swimming pools, tennis courts, gym, sauna, spa, the recently refurbished Bodega Restaurant and Bar, and an 18-hole championship golf course at the neighboring Cypress Lakes Golf & Country Club.
