LOS ANGELES—broughtonHOTELS expands its portfolio of boutique hotel properties in California with the opening of the Hotel Normandie, a historic cultural landmark set in the Koreatown/Wilshire Center district of Los Angeles.

Built in the 1920s by architects Walker & Eisen, the Renaissance Revival-style hotel underwent a multi-million dollar restoration. The property’s grand lobby entrance with its sprawling staircase, high-beam ceilings, fountain and library have been restored.

Phase I is now open with 36 rooms featuring kings, doubles and suites. Each room features restored hardwood floors and art deco bathrooms, flat screen televisions, high speed Internet and an in-room coffee maker and distinctive art pieces.

“Koreatown is experiencing an exciting rebirth,” stated Larry Broughton, founder and CEO of broughtonHOTELS. “It is once again one of Los Angeles’ most notable and inspiring neighborhoods; complete with diverse culture and new restaurants, boutiques, nightlife and more. For the urban explorers looking for an authentic Los Angeles experience, staying at Hotel Normandie will put you right in the center of it all.”
