DENVER—Grand Hyatt Denver completed a $28 million renovation of its lobby and lobby lounge, Fireside | the bar, as well as the Pinnacle Club, a 38th floor event facility with views of the Rocky Mountain front range.
The lobby showcases a wall of narrow, lineal fireplaces stacked on top of one another and set in chiseled stone, rising to a 29-ft. ceiling. The décor features Fireside | the bar, where a wine rack holds 315 vintages, and features wood panels overhead and communal tables.
Grand Hyatt Denver’s renovation, which launched late-fall 2012, also included the redesign of 516 guestrooms and suites, which was completed in May.
The Pinnacle Club also was renovated and is now available for private parties, banquets and events. The Club features windows on all four sides and the new interior contains two large ballrooms, each with its own pre-function space.
“What makes this renovation such a standout is the blend of contemporary with indigenous décor,” stated Greg Leonard, general manager of Grand Hyatt Denver. “It creates interest as visitors marvel at the backdrop of solid onyx in the reception area and large burl tables, where guests check-in or the signature, original oil painting of a Colorado buffalo adorning the lobby wall. It is all designed to bring the outside in; a reminder of the scenic and exuberant place that is the Mile High City.”
