Vdara Hotel & Spa Goes to the Dogs

Tuesday July 30th, 2013 - 10:00AM

LAS VEGAS—Vdara Hotel & Spa launched V-Dog, a canine-friendly program that welcomes and caters to furry guests.

For an additional $50 per night, guests may bring up to two furry friends with a combined weight of less than 70 pounds, or one dog at the same weight, to stay in the boutique hotel. Select Deluxe Suites have been appointed for those with canine companions ensuring that other guests at the hotel are not affected.

Dogs won’t have to walk through a noisy casino and instead will enter through a quiet lobby. Upon check-in, all dogs will receive a welcome amenity, including an all-natural dog treat from a local bakery, eco-friendly waste bags, information about Vdara’s 24-hour dog park and an in-suite doggie dining menu that offers a wide variety of dishes. Specially designed by Vdara, food options include the Fetch of the Day, a seared fillet with sweet potatoes, green beans and yellow squash or the Chicken a la Coop, hormone-free baked chicken with whole grain brown rice.

Vdara also provides crates upon request for pet owners who choose to let their dogs have some alone time. Pet-sitting services may be arranged through Vdara’s concierge for an additional fee. All pet sitters are screened and available 24 hours a day.
